About UsWabash Telephone Cooperative was established in 1952, starting out as a small telephone
cooperative and has seen significant growth throughout the years. Wabash Telephone is locally
owned by its members and has 4,353 access lines in nine exchanges throughout South Central
Illinois.
The cooperative is governed by a board of nine directors representing the exchanges
served by the cooperative.
In addition to providing basic phone services to their members, they also operate two
wholly owned subsidiaries. Wabash Telephone and its subsidiaries, ITA and WIN, employ a total of 48 full time employees and four part-time employees. ITA & WIN not only provide services to the cooperative members, but also to areas outside the nine exchanges. Wabash Telephone and its subsidiaries consistently strive to keep up-to-date with the latest technology and maintain a level of service, which is unsurpassed. The goal of all three companies is to be innovative, responsive, and adapt to the changes in our business environment.
